Who knew that 71 year old Martha Stewart would rock the 50+ dating pool? She did! Last week I caught a conversation Martha had with Matt Lauer on relationships. To myself I said amen and perfect timing. As a veteran dater, much like Martha I knew what I wanted and wasn't meeting men in my work life. I too turned to online dating. Some of my friends were aghast at my boldness, others cheered me from the sidelines saying I was brave. My thoughts. I had to do something that would change what I was doing. Biker Kiss, Match, Eharmony, Perfect Match, and Plenty of Fish. I cast my net far and wide.
Along, the way I kept notes, talked about my experiences, and thought I've got to share what I've learned with others. The result Come Back Cupid! The class geared to adults 50+ makes it debut this summer. What will my students learn? The basics of online dating in an friendly and informal setting. The goal? To live the life you want. If that includes a partner, boyfriend, or husband I want to help you get there. On Saturday, March 19th I'll be presenting the class topic at Get Connected! sponsored by the Oasis Institute in San Diego.
